Dee Bee Talent Management Code of Practice

 

1. Purpose

Dee Bee Talent Management is committed to providing a professional, inclusive, safe and respectful environment for all clients, families, staff, freelancers, associates and industry partners.This Code of Practice sets out the standards, values and behaviours expected of anyone representing or working with Dee Bee Talent Management.We believe every individual has the right to be treated with dignity, respect and fairness, free from discrimination, bullying, harassment, victimisation or abuse of power.This Code applies to all agency activities, including auditions, castings, rehearsals, workshops, performances, meetings, online communication and industry events.

 

2. Our Commitment to Inclusion

3. Dignity and Respect

Every person working with or represented by Dee Bee Talent Management has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.We expect all interactions to be professional, courteous and considerate.This includes interactions:In personOnlineVia email, telephone or messaging platformsDuring auditions, rehearsals and performancesAt industry events and social functions connected to workRespectful disagreement is acceptable. Bullying, intimidation, humiliation or abusive behaviour is not.

 

4. Bullying, Harassment and Sexual Harassment

Dee Bee Talent Management operates a zero-tolerance approach to bullying, harassment and sexual harassment.Unacceptable behaviour may include, but is not limited to:Offensive, intimidating or degrading behaviourVerbal abuse or threatsUnwanted comments relating to appearance, race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability or backgroundExclusionary behaviourAbuse of authority or positionUnwanted physical contactSexual comments, jokes, gestures or advancesOnline harassment or inappropriate digital communicationVictimisation of anyone who raises a concernSuch behaviour may occur in person, online, through social media, messaging platforms, email, telephone communication or any work-related environment.All complaints will be treated seriously and handled appropriately.

 

5. Duty of Care to Clients

As an agency representing children and young performers, we recognise our duty of care to our clients and their families.We are committed to:Acting in the best interests of our clientsProviding honest and professional advicePromoting safe casting and audition practicesSupporting clients who experience inappropriate behaviour within the industryRaising concerns where safeguarding or welfare issues ariseEncouraging clients and families to report concerns without fear of disadvantageNo client will be treated unfavourably for raising a genuine concern.

 

6. Safe and Professional Working Practices

Dee Bee Talent Management expects all staff, associates, clients and industry partners to behave professionally at all times.We support:Safe casting environmentsProfessional audition practicesAppropriate supervision of children and young peopleClear safeguarding proceduresAppropriate communication channelsRespect for personal boundariesAny concerns regarding conduct should be reported as soon as possible.

 

7. Raising Concerns

Anyone who experiences, witnesses or becomes aware of behaviour that breaches this Code is encouraged to raise the matter promptly.Concerns may be reported to:Designated Safeguarding Lead:Delycia BelgraveDeputy Safeguarding Lead:Tiggy TaliadorosAll concerns will be handled sensitively, confidentially and fairly.Retaliation against any individual who raises a genuine concern is not permitted.

 

8. Breaches of This Code

Breaches of this Code will be taken seriously.Depending on the circumstances, Dee Bee Talent Management may:Issue warningsRemove individuals from agency activitiesTerminate professional relationshipsReport concerns to appropriate organisations or authoritiesRefer safeguarding concerns to relevant agencies

 

9. Review

This Code of Practice is reviewed annually and updated in line with current legislation, safeguarding requirements, Equality Act principles and industry best practice.Dee Bee Talent Management remains committed to fostering a culture of professionalism, inclusion, dignity, respect and safety for everyone we represent and work alongside.
